Festival

Karibu, Lualaba.

FIKAL is the Festival International Karibu Lualaba: two days of culture, encounters and shared initiatives in Kolwezi.

Our story

A gathering that connects.

Born from the original Sasa Tshokwe project, the Festival International Karibu Lualaba (FIKAL) has become a major socio-economic and cultural gathering in the heart of Lualaba. As an international showcase of welcome in Kolwezi, it connects centuries-old traditions, contemporary artistic creation and the province’s economic momentum. Each edition brings together more than 10,000 visitors per day around music, youth entrepreneurship and Lualaba heritage.

  • An international showcase of welcome (“Karibu”) in Kolwezi.
  • A bridge between heritage, contemporary creation and economic development.
  • More than 10,000 visitors expected every day around music, youth and Lualaba.
